What is Mass?

November 3, 2016 By Janice VanCleave

  1. The mass of an object is NOT dependent on gravity, thus the mass of an object is the same no matter where in the universe it is measured.
  2. The standard metric unit of mass is the kilogram.
  3. Mass depends on how much stuff (matter) is present in an object.
  4. People in on diets are really concerned about their mass. They really want to loose mass.
